Life at Home: The Start of the School Era

I’ve been a little quiet on here recently, but only because it has been a very busy summer! At home, it’s been a season of big steps for the Small People. The start of the School Era has arrived, and with it, plenty of moments that remind me how differently the world looks through a child’s eyes.

With the Big Small, it feels like years ago that the mums’ WhatsApp groups were filled with potty-training advice, yet now I find myself helping my four-year-old navigate the complexities of making friends at school. What. A. Minefield! And she’s only small!

While it’s been an adjustment keeping up with school runs, endless name labels, and remembering what needs to be in her book bag on which day, it’s lovely to see her finding her feet and starting her own little adventures.

Just as my daughter is learning to navigate a new world, I’ve been busy expanding mine too — this time for the benefit of my travel clients.
